For the Haeckels 'Blue Mind Podcast', I'm scoring each episode with original music from top to bottom. The idea is to make music which is suitably background but can hold its own as single-standing pieces. I always wanted to make the music that features in the background available as a stand alone project - did you ever see the vinyl editions of the Blue Planet show? I mean I'm not working with the BBC Symphonic or anything (full disclosure), but I thought it would be nice to have as an accompanying score in case you want to hear it uninterrupted.

Episode 9: Maldives Deep Dive

Welcome to the ninth episode of the Blue Mind podcast by Hæckels. Your listening bubble and audio escape hatch.

In this episode, Buddy talks to marine biologist Amelia Cody, who works with Patina Maldives in the area of coral restoration and maintenance. You'll hear everything about the inner workings of what she does, but that's the overall frame. It's a fascinating world, a truly worthwhile path, and a thoroughly interesting process, about which Amelia explains the details and methods involved. The survival and preservation of coral is imperative for all of us, as is the health of the ocean, and this podcast will only go to prove once more how important the wild blue beast that occupies the majority of the world is.

Amelia also covers what happens at Patina, a sumptuous and gorgeous resort which works in harmony with the ocean and environment, providing a perfect atmosphere and venue for unwinding but also offering holiday makers a suitable accompaniment to add to this oceanic harmony. Haeckels works with Patina in creating a range of products for various spots in the resort, made in close proximity to further embellish this harmony with sweet motifs and refrains. You can probably tell I'm in a musical mood while I type this... Enjoy, investigate further but mostly, relax into it.
