Around the start of the year, I started making these mixes which I would host on my Patreon page which I entitled 'Layer Chambers'. They co-incided with the release of 'Stem' on Serato. Honestly, this feature was an incredible addition to the armoury... Of course not all results would be crystal clear studio stems - like, the acapellas and so on would be amazing to a point, but some would be pretty grainy and warbly. STILL - a moot point in a situation where the technology is so infinitely ahead of anything I could have dreamed of when I started!

I remember having this thing called 'Kill Switches' - a thing you'd plug in after the turntables which were basically cut-off filters. I always thought they would filter everything, leaving said crystal clear acapella or drumtrack or whatever... Haha. This was back in 1994/5 maybe? Something like that. How naive I was... Well, this Serato feature is night and day compared to those Kill Switches.

This mix though is something different. I won't show behind the curtain yet but just know that it's a TON of gooies that I can pretty confidently say you have not heard like this before. Fuck it, I'll just say it. You haven't heard these tracks like this before. Just let it in, let it wash over you, and have a good time with it. It's fun, it's meant for listening enjoyment and for people such as yourselves to hopefully notice various things happening in it and elements that you'll be like "Ah hah! It's THAT!" - I hope so anyway, that would be dope.
