This is a collection of 8 tracks, each exactly 5 minutes long. This was the beginning of my fascination and obsession with tracks of the same length - not sure where that comes from, or indeed what it says about me (maybe I don't want to know?), but this was the first of the many to follow.

I started it after finishing my album 'Late Model Sedan'. I had a lot of material I wanted to use and a lot of ideas, but they wouldn't have fit on the album (and some ideas I had immediately after the final track was tweaked for the last time). I thought a way of presenting these ideas could be as a kind of 'beat tape' idea, or like a bunch of 5 minute pieces. Some are like minimixes, some are more linear, but it's certainly more choppy and fidgety than Late Model.

This was completed some time around 2008/9, and I haven't released it 'officially', and wasn't sure on what to do with it exactly, but I wanted to present it somehow because I still really like how it turned out! There are some of the heaviest drums I've ever messed with too (Shotgun Pontiac - that one gave me some hearing damage, so do be alert okay?), and some textures and sounds I still like to listen to.
