This is a mix I made in 2003. I hooked up the beats (mix-tape style, some originals but mostly from rap records) using a hand-held Yamaha SU10 sampler, which was literally my first sampler. They're fun, but you have to get the music in time before you loop it - pretty laborious by today's standards but it was great fun to do, and I made it all on the fly - there wasn't a huge amount of forward planning, charts and graphs and whatnot. I mixed the acapellas over the beats in real time afterwards, and added some light effects at the end. This is one of the first sampler-based mixtapes I made and I think it still has some good bumping potential within. Enjoy!
