I have literally TWO copies of the original CD left! Be quick! These were the originals that were sold when 2600 Records released the mix. They made around 300 I think, and I had a few. I've been cleaning out my lockup and found the last remaining so if you want one, here's your last chance...!

'Wolf Diesel Mountain' is a mix I started making back in early 2006, and completed in late 2007. There was a rough little idea in the back of my mind in the late '90s for a project like this, and it took years of mental notes, ideas and just straight up listening to get to a stage where I was ready to get on and do it.
I edited and programmed every musical element on the MPC2000XL, so all the backing music is sampled and hooked up in that way. I added the vocals afterwards (all individually mixed in real time but effected in some cases after), and it was a very time consuming process but I couldn't have dreamed of making it in any other way. It's a beautiful thing to hear a project evolving in your very ears, and this way I was completely on top of it from the first step.
This was originally released on 2600 Records, who put in such an incredible amount of effort and hard work into promoting it and getting out into the wider world. I cannot thank them enough. I wanted to make it available at this point directly from me, since the original CD was limited/numbered and there are any number of hooky DL options out there. I wanted to offer an alternative to that.
Thanks ever so much for checking, and if you've already got this, nice one! This is from 2007, but I still hold it very dear to my heart as, on a personal level, it holds so many wonderful memories but I'm also very proud of how it turned out. I loved the whole process and hearing the reaction from those who heard it was excellent. And still is!
Thanks again, cheers for taking the time.

This would just not have been possible without the music of the artists involved. The music used is involved because of my love and closeness to it, and out of my extreme respect and admiration as a long term fan and listener.
